If you and i went out on a date,
We'd beautiful memories create.

We could go to the beach and take a walk on the sand,
And you'd ever so gently hold my hand.

We could go see a movie,
But i wouldn't pay attention,not really.
We'd eat popcorn and drink coke,
And i'd say to myself:"What a nice bloke".

We could have dinner in the candlelight,
And the embers of attraction would burn o so bright.
You'd tell me what you do,where you work.
I'd tell you what i like,where i shop.
You'd tell me you liked my smile,
And how it could even the most hardhearted beguile.
I'd tell you you made me laugh,
And how your sweet words were a finely crafted art.
You'd tell me i looked really pretty,
And how lucky you were to have met me.
I'd blush,
My cheeks flushed.

And then you'd take my hand gently,
And hold my gaze with yours.
And woo me slowly,
Without a single word.

And in 50 years to come,
We'd be old and grizzled,
Passion down to a mere fizzle.
And we'd look back without regret,
On the most wonderful first date ever yet.
