Majority of cards in Nigeria work for international transactions , provided the transaction is not more than 100usd either a single transaction or total cumulative for a given month.

None in Nigeria at the moment. Yes, you can use some like GTBank, Stanbic, UBA and DiamondBank before CBN directed all banks to stop because of Forex issue in the country at the moment.

For you to carry out international transaction online now, you have to get any of this account Dollar Naira Account, Dollar account or Domicillary account and this account above, you still have to source for physical dollars to pay into the accounts above before use. Banks will not provide you with the dollars but they will charge you based on their own exchange rates.

For you to get a Dollar card from GTBank, you will need to provide 2 references. You will be charge $10 as annual card maintainance fee and also source for $100 for initial deposit.
Big lie. I have been using my access bank ATM to pay for goods I order from US and other countries. My last transaction was last week

Last I checked, GTbank dollar card costs $50 or so. That's roughly N23,000. Stanbic's dollar Mastercard is N1,050.

GT Bank Dollar card cost $10 and N3,000 annual maintenance fees. I applied for one yesterday.

Please don't say what you don't know. GTB dollar cards go for roughly $10, same for stanbic

I have a Dom account. I was asked to pay $50 to get Dollar Mastercard. That was like two weeks ago.

I did not get this part..please explain...because I had to buy dollars from black market to deposit in my Dom account so I guess when I do any transaction the money is automaticslly removed in dollars and not their own rate.

I have tried usung GTBank, First bank and Access bank, Naira Mastercard to pay for things on eBay and it didn't work for me since this year January....so I communicated their customer care and the mentioned that CBN gave directives to block all transactions using the Naira Mastercard.

My Gtb mstercard worked yesterday on amazon uk.

Was charged NGN 400 for £1

The exchange rate you see on Amazon and the actual one the bank gives are very different. Trust me on this. I learnt that last year. Amazon was quoting 300 back then, but bank collected 420 something from my account.

My current account is the one directly linked to my naira Mastercard. I paid in the money I thought was the equivalent, but the transaction did not pull through. Had to call customer service, was told my cash in current account is not enough. Their exchange rate is blah blah blah. They use parallel market rate. I had to add more cash to the current account. This was back when the spending limit was $300 or so.

Just informing you, cos the actual rate the bank will charge you is parallel market rate, not the rate you see on Amazon site. You can verify when the bill comes. 400 naira to the pound can never be given by any bank right now. They are too greedy!

But this is worrying though. How can Nigeria build an economy that can compete with the rest of the world, if our forex policy does not allow basic pos or PayPal transactions across the world.

Are we in North Korea? This is one of the reasons why we call this govt. clueless. All in the name of fighting corruption we are throwing out the baby along with the bath water. God help us o

It is really unfortunate and the Banks stopped these cards without notice. It is frustrating that the Naira cards are useless. I have been struggling to pay for site subscription for almost a week now.

Yes you have to source for dollars and deposit it in your account. Whenever you make any transaction you will be charge based on the bank rate. E.g Frank charges N320 to a Dollar as at 28th of Feb when I used my dollar card. I don't know what other banks charges

Call their call centre. It could be network. Normally you are meant to be able to use that.

I tried to use my Zenith mastercard to fund my neteller acct earlier in the week but it proved abortive.
I even tried using a friend GTB mastercard but it didn't pull thru.
So I contacted my bank they told CBN had given all banks directives to block international transaction on their cards since July last year.
I had to resort to bitcoin to fund my neteller acct after all the failed attempt, even you cannot send money through western union, money gram and co.
This Government has just bleep everything up due to their bad policies
