What may be the biggest welterweight fight of the year is already approaching the 9th round and seems close enough to end in a draw, though that hardly happens in boxing. Garcia was a slight underdog but it seems both finders are confirming their quality as fighters almost impossible to ko so this fight seems destined for the judges to decide. Garcia has been defensively better and relying effectively on counters! |

Thurman has won the latest rounds except the tenth and is ahead by 6 rounds to 4 unofficially! But Garcia can still do enough to win in the last 2 rounds. Whatever happens, Garcia has done enough to make a rematch highly marketable!!  |
