Many Nigerians weren't feeling Simi's AMVCA look with some saying it looks like a dress sewnn with needle and thread. However,the singer fired back on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Symplysimi ,even blocking all those who critisized her look.

They wanted her to wear a long flowing gown that would have taken a year to make grin She loved her simple look, was comfortable in what she wore which is the most important thing and she's happy. Let her be biko
