In our society today, sugary soda is taking the place of healthy and nutritious drinks.

The health sector are not doing much to undermine this development as soda companies spends billions on advertising its products. They never included in the advert as at how much damages it can cause to humanity. Type 2 diabetes which is common in the society is as a result of consuming sugary soda. People who consumes two to three cans of soda daily stand a chance of having this type of diabetes and other related heart diseases.


QUANTITY OF SUGAR IN SODA

Every 20 ounce of a soda drink, there is about 16 to 17 teaspoons of sugar. Many soda company produces more than a million bottle of soda daily.

The more this drinks are consumed the more sugar are stored in the body which leads the weight gain due to the hunger it instigated in the period of drinking it. This can eventually leads to obesity.

SUGARY SODA INCREASES BELLY FAT

Sugar intake especially fructose stores fat in the body, mostly in the belly and around other organs which can be deadly. This sugar stored in the belly helps store visceral fat in the body which can lead to metabolic infections.

TOOTH DECAY

Excess in take of soda causes tooth decay. This is because most if not all contains phosphoric acid and carbonated acid which causes the mouth to be acidic. With the presence of this acid, its a disaster to the teeth and the gum of the mouth.

INCREASE IN OBESITY

In the United State and many other countries, 2 out of every 5 person are obese and 2 out of every 4 children are also obese. Intake of this soda regularly are responsible. Reduce the intake of this drink will reduce the risk of type 2 Diabetes. Replacement of this drinks are much in the grocery stores which can give necessary nutrients to the body.

RISK OF CANCER IN SUGARY SODA INTAKE

In a recent research conducted by some scientist, it was discovered that those who drinks sugar regularly have over 85% chance of developing pancreatic cancer. Women who take this soda have every tendency of having endometrial cancer and also colon cancer.

High intake of this drinks can also lead to Adult Onset disease which was very common in the 1960’s and other related heart diseases.

CONCLUSION

Soda drinks might be difficult to stay away from but when your health is at risk you have to take a bold step otherwise it might consume you entirely. Always consult your doctor for regular medical advice.
