The Oxford Dictionary defines ''attitude" as "the way that you think and feel about somebody or something; the way that you behave towards somebody or something shows you think and feel." 

From the denotative meaning of attitude it can be deduced that it borders on one's idea, thought and emotions towards someone or a thing.

Therefore, attitude can be said to be a vital force in making or marring a person's ability towards achieving that goal. Great mystics and motivational speakers have in no few words 're-emphasised how powerful a force attitude is in determining how successful one can be in his or her endeavours.

I was somewhere the other day where the speaker said attitude gives a 100% certainty whether one succeeds or not and not hardwork.
