Lol, that's how you guys buy either stolen cars or cars with issues. Check through nairaland or any site with verified merchants. The best deal you'll find for a nigeria used 07 camry is between 1.8 - 1.9 except when the person is in financial crises or is upfront about the car needing some fixing.

The price of the dollar is a major factor. Imagine a car bought and shipped for 7000 dollars at a dollar rate of 155 and then sold for 1,600,000 naira.

Now then dollar rate is more than twice what it once was so that car will be sold for more than twice what it once was.

People are so used to the old prices that they feel they are being cheated even though I agree with the fact that some dealers can be overtly greedy but it's business everyone is trying to make ends meet.

The last factor a lot of people take for granted is how clean the vehicle is. There are a lot of flood damaged and accidented vehicles out there disguised as good bargains.
