At Abacha, Babaingida Obasanjor and Goodluck inflation rate of 10% per annum in inflation
N34000 (year 1992) =34,000 X 1.1^25 = N 368,340 (year 2017)

At Buhari inflation rate of 18% per annum in inflation
N34000 (year 1992) =34,000 X 1.18^25 = N2,130,733 (year 2017)

Bottom line is that it was only slightly cheaper then. Nigeria was doomed then, its still domed now. I remember 1992, that was the era when Governors owing civil servants salaries for years was not only accepted but was expected.
