What Deniz Aytekin Said To Paris Saint-germain Players During Barcelona Match by Thisis2raw(m): 3:17pm On Mar 12, 2017
It’s been four days since Barcelona’s incredible 6-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain and the fallout continues.

While it was the greatest Champions League knockout stage comeback in history, it was overshadowed by some dubious decisions from referee Deniz Aytekin.

The German official awarded Barcelona two penalties on the night - with the second one appearing to be a blatant dive from Luis Suarez. He also turned down PSG appeals for a penalty of their own when Javier Mascherano fouled Angel di Maria - something that the defender admitted to after the game.

It’s since been reported that UEFA are investigating Aytekin’s performance and he faces demotion to the Europa League for the remainder of the campaign.

But Aytekin could face an even more severe punishment after a claim from French newspaper Le Parisien.

They’ve published a report that claims the ref responded to complaints from the PSG players during the match by saying: “f*** you”.

Unfortunately the newspaper doesn’t allude any further to its claims but, if this is true, Aytekin surely faces further investigation.

PSG will certainly want this claim investigated, especially considering their criticism of the referee at full-time.

Their president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi told Le Parisien: “You cannot help but think that the result of this match could have been different with clairvoyant refereeing, and more as the competition progresses, there is a lot at stake and the referees need to know it, there is no room for nervousness or lack of lucidity.

“Everyone saw the penalty to Di Maria that would have put us 3-2 up. Not to mention the penalty on Suarez.”

Barcelona certainly won’t let this report affect them, though. No matter how they did it, they have progressed through to the last eight of Europe’s elite competition as they keep their dream of winning the treble alive.

They will always remember the night they beat PSG 6-1 to progress and won’t remember the few fortunate decisions that went their way.

However, PSG will always remember the name Deniz Aytekin and their players may have every right to feel aggrieved with the way he treated them.
