LET US SHELVE THE IDEA OF A NEW BIAFRA

PLEASE THIS THREAD IS NOT AIMED AT BREWING UP HEATED TRIBAL AND RELIGIOUS DEBATES BUT TO REASON AND SEE CLEAR FACTS

I have always maintained that the quest for Biafra in its present form is demeaning and amounts to monumental self flagellation. A Nation State is not worn on an apron of Semitic apparel. It is also not achieved by inventing a whirlpool of invective nor by a maelstrom of vitriolic appetites. Some tips on how Israel won a Nation State:
1. They used their intellectuals and penetrated the academic and political firmament in the relevant areas of support.
2. They supported Britain in a vital first world war and exacted a commitment through the Balfour Declaration; that enhanced the return of the Jews in diaspora. They traded their tech war knowledge for a new Homeland.
3. They penetrated the UN and got a State created for them in 1948 through wheeling and dealing.
4. They traded their nuclear knowledge for political support from a vital colonial master.
5. They formed the relevant Organs of military, economic and political fronts.
6. They penetrated through superior knowledge, all the antagonistic countries and tribes that would be an impediment to the realisation of their dream State. They did not insult anybody. No noise.
7. Trained and formed an unconquerable Army of patriotic men and women.
8. This model attracts but cannot be replicated in this circumstance.
9. People talk about Biafra as if an earlier generation never endeavoured to actualise it.
10. There will never be another Ojukwu; the cult hero who galvanised a strange support for a project that had all the facades of very tall accomplishments.
11. We braved it and didn't succeed; at a monumental human, political and economic costs.
12. We have tried to reestablish in today's economy . The same group that precipitated the old crisis are prodding us to attempt another symbolic act of cowardice; to expropriate our gains so far. It shall not be well for them.
13. This recourse to an Emotional Biafra must extinguish. It demeans the Land of the Rising Sun to have charlatans chart the road of a race that has one of the most promising human capital in all the theatres of the world.
14. Our people are in some leading academic faculties the world over and must rise to chart a way of preserving our heritage and plan on how to sustain an identity that is resource and intellect based.
15. We are Nigerians and we must be bold, patient and creative enough to achieve an economic empire of our dream. No one or regime should frustrate us out of this.
16. Political Leadership may never be the ultimate (decisive) factor. Our men in business and the academua can also be the defining factor.
17. We must create ideas that will triumph all forms of real or imagined marginalisation. It is possible and doable.
18. This must be our new dimension and direction in National politics.
19. It is lazy to always quote an unhelpful Charter as the source of achieving a State of some unrealistic imagination. It sounds great but only that.
20. We must extinguish these low energy thrusts and concentrate on a long term economic, social and political trajectory that enobles us as
a people. That is our mainstay.
21. Discussing Biafra as a brand new entity is a travesty to those who laid down their lives in that pursuit. Disquisition must therefore cease in that direction.
22. We must up this game with the sophistication that befits a race that is creating an outstanding academic wave the world over. Other Nigerians are also making their marks.
23. We are Nigerians and that much must be acknowledged.

PROUDLY AKWA IBOM
GOD BLESS NIGERIA...

Op your wasting your time because we cannot abandon or waived Biafra, you can talk about any other issues but Biafra is no go area & non negotiable.
If you have a superior argument bring it up in a competent court of law let's argue it & not niraland.

So talk about other issues leave Biafra for us.

The author quoted Israel in his write up. Now the zionist movement was started by Theodor Hertzel in 1897. Israel got their nation hood in 1948. That makes it 51 years. South Sudan struggle was above 50 years. He ought to know what he is talking about.
