Buhari’s Ministers Are Compounding His Health Issue – Agoro by Nobody: 6:07pm On Mar 14, 2017
Former presidential candidate and founder of the National Action Council (NAC), Dr. Olapade Agoro on Thursday said President Muhammadu Buhari will be doing himself a great disservice if he continues working with his present cabinet.

While welcoming the President back to the country and wishing him speedy recovery, he said the president cannot enjoy the best of health if he continues working with people who are “compounding his problems”.

Speaking in a chat with Independent, Agoro said many of the president’s aides are adding to his problems instead of assisting him in fulfilling the promises he made to Nigerians during the election.

“If President Buhari wants to enjoy sound health, he should do away with some of these unwanted people in his cabinet. They are called aides because their job is to assist the president in his goal to bring about the desired change he promised Nigerians; but instead they are busy compounding the man’s problems”.

“They are meant to work as a team, but they are divided and driven by personal ego. One aide will say something today, another will counter him tomorrow. All these things will add to Buhari’s health issue”.

Speaking on the latest row between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Godfrey Onyeama and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Nigerian in Diaspora, Abike Dabiri- Erewa, Agoro who lambasted the Minister urged him to attempt traveling to the United States without his diplomatic visa and see if he will not be subjected to humiliation by US immigration officials.

“Look at the issue between Abike Dabiri- Erewa and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. I believe Abike (Dabiri- Erewa) was right in advising Nigerians to hold until the immigration policy of the American government becomes clear. Yet, the Minister said Nigerians should ignore her that she was talking nonsense. But the situation on ground has proven who was right between the duo”.

“A lot of Nigerians holding valid documents are not allowed into the United States. They are not only turning some Nigerians back, some are being clamped in detention. If the Minister said there is no reported case of Nigerians being humiliated, he should attempt going to the US without his diplomatic passport and see if he will not be turned back or clamped into detention for days.

Speaking further, Agoro who hailed the performance of the Vice- President while Buhari was away said “Buhari needs people like Osinbajo around him. When Buhari was on vacation, the Vice- President was turning things round and enjoying accolades across all parts of the country. If Buhari does not want to die young, he should remove the weeds in his cabinet”.

“We can’t afford to lose President Buhari now. For the socio-economic and political stability of Nigeria, Buhari must not die. If anything happens to Buhari, Nigeria will be thrown overboard”.
