*To the Young men.*

_Tell the young men to be wise. Titus 2:6_

Apostle Paul was telling Titus to tell the young men to be wise. And how can we measure wiseness or their deeds that denotes wiseness? The Apostle furthers by sayings, Titus should be an example of wisdom to them by, _‘being an example for them in every way by the good things you do. When you teach, be honest and serious’_ Titus 2:7.

As a youth we are all to emulate the example of being a doer of good things and not a doer of bad things that cannot be proud of. We, as a youth must also in our entire endeavor be honest and serious. A lot of people in their profession or studies are not honest. Honesty is a factor that paves way for a man in times of hardship or rejection of other. But without honesty, there can be no higher ups.

Also, it is needful for a young man to be serious; we are to be serious in whatever we do. A lot of people are into education/learning, but they have misplaced their priority and went after frivolities. One thing is sure, if you are not serious, you can never get even the better out of what you do, let alone the best. Seriousness is required in all we do, without seriousness, progress is not possible.

Our honesty and seriousness is also required in terms of relationship with God, we cannot fool God. The Bible says, the Lord knows those that are his. But I can assure you, the love of God is for all, but your relationship with him is determined whether you want to have it or neglect it. God requires our honesty and seriousness with him. The target of the devil nowadays is the youth, because he knows that if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? That is why we have a lot of youths wandering around aimlessly nowadays without no hope or future in place.

God desires our honesty and seriousness with him so that he can give us a fulfilled life and an expected end. But in other for us to enter the promises of God and work in the fullness of the purpose of our life, honesty and seriousness is inevitable. Our seriousness we do us far far greater good than it will do God or someone else. The word for you today is that good works, honesty and seriousness is required of you to fulfill your purpose on earth.

Good works that are acceptable before God are the works done in righteousness and not in sins. Cornelius did good works, had an honest report and he was serious, but still he lacks Jesus, and God sent an Angel to him to contact Peter to bring to him the gospel of Jesus Christ, because if he did not accept Jesus, all his works and good reports are vain. Why? It has no eternal reward or records in heaven specified in his name. Jesus said he who accept him accept him who sent him (God). I present to you Jesus who is able to keep you from falling, who is able to make your sacrifices acceptable before God and grant you eternal rewards accept Jesus today. Jesus loves you.
