(One who put his future on inheritance)

AliD can be likened to Saul the king, in appearance, he was the tallest in his father's large house and he is few inches the tallest in village. Dark as charcoal, glowing with pride. White teeth as ajé, he was the desire of the maidens. A prince you will call him, if you were a stranger in MexD. He had the fame and the charisma. AliD, AliD, AliD. All these attractive and desirable, he ride on his fathers wealth. Fath AliD was a sojourner in MexD but it is almost a home for him now. He rose to wealth in the village. AliD, believed in his father's property and does nothing to improve his life.

Fath AliD
This is the same thing you always repeat, the future will take care of itself, but you never work it real. You create a future and not wait for it. Learn vocation, no. Work on farm, no. All you do is play around while other are busy building their future.

AliD
I insist baba, the future will take care of itself. At least, I have you.

Life goes on. AliD played and flex away with his father's wealth in mind. Five years after, a land dispute came up between MexD and LoDD. It was a tough one. There was nothing left undone to quench it fire. The solution finally came. The boundary must be marked. Epa! Greater part of Fath AliD farm was on the part that belong to LoDD. They wasted the ones they could and left the others with a warning, no one should come for any of those possessions.
Fath AliD had a great lost. His wealth was cut down once without warning. What was left can only sustain his feeding not wealth. Ojú AliD yán. AliD could not believe it but he hope in the remaining. His brothers and sisters, who had listened to his father's advise were his father's consolation.
When savings began to dwindle, Fath AliD, began to feel the impact of what had been done. His spirit went down with it. He could not bear the status change, from wealthy to average. It had adverse effect on his health. It was treated as normal but he refuse to heal. With time on the ailment bed, they began to sell his remaining property to take care of him. Until the property's was all sold of and little was borrowed, he did not die. Ódi gbére!
AliD hope was gone, it was  like a dream cleared away from the eyes of the dreamer. All properties, all lots, all inheritance, gone. Gone and could not be regain. Destroyed, sold to save a life.
He began to suffer for it. His portion was gone. The praisers were gone. No one had pity on him. He wasted his opportunities. He began to work as  a labourer to sustain his stomach. It was difficulty, sometimes, he wished the world will come to an end. His siblings were younger to him, they gave to him when the have but it was meagre. His beauty went inside, he became thin-tall. He learnt his lesson in a hard way but èpa ò bóró mó, he could not leave his siblings kind of life except if he will work for it. A very hard work.

OMÓJUWÚRÀ (2017)

You that you are relying on your father's property, you are wasting your life. Should anything change, your hope go with it. Take to the opportunities you have now and make the most you them building your life. A life built is a future secure not a inheritances wait for.
