At least Africa can do with some good news. This news is long over due. He has not contributed anything meaningful to the development of African football yet he was allowed to over stay.
We await what this new one comes offering.

Finally we have the change we wanted in African football,Hayatou has been there for 29years with little achievement, let us see the innovations Ahmad will bring,Congrat to Pinnick he stood by him,i just hope he will get a nice appointment, despite not getting enough support from the government, they wanted him to support Hayatou from cameroun, what is the relationship between boko haram insurgency and football in Africa?

That is not true!

He had contributed a lot, just that it's time for him to go and allow others to make their own contribution. It is not his birth right!

He over stayed and lost relevance. You can't possibly stayed in a place for too long a time and yet contribute meaningful to progress. What has African football achieved in the last decade?
God help us, Africans.

The media was reporting that there was a need to maintain good relations with Cameroon.

If the presidency can keep interfering in CBN policy what makes you think that there would no interference in this issue?

Ahmad Ahmad wins CAF Presidential Election, beating Issa Hayatou who has been in office since 1988.
Ahmad got 34 votes out of 54 while Hayatou had only 20.

FIFA frowns on government interference if it is blatant. So long as no one speaks openly about it they won't know.

Beside that, has Buhari shown himself as a man who cares about democratic ideals or governmental probity?

I'm not saying that this is definitely the case, I'm only suggesting that Dalung himself may be acting on orders.
