A meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) is currently taking place inside the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting, which started at 11.00am, is being presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Many of the state governors are in attendance.

The governors of Rivers and Ekiti States, Nyesom Wike and Ayodele Fayose respectively are being represented by their deputies.

The National Economic Council meeting is chaired by the Vice president always. Buhari couldn't have been missing in a meeting that is usually chaired by the VP.
