President Trump couldn't help himself but joke with the German Chancellor on Friday.

When asked by reporters over whether he stands by recent allegations that then-President Obama wire-tapped Trump Tower, he looked over at the German Chancellor and joked, "As far as wire-tapping by this passed administration, at least we have something in common, perhaps."

The President was referencing a widely reported story that the Obama administration had wire-tapped German Chancellor Merkel's mobile phone as early as 2010.
