Can I Use Manual Ac Compressor For Automatic One? by SamAfoo: 11:15pm On Mar 20, 2017
My car is Toyota Rav4 2006 2.4L engine and a Limited edition. My ac compressor suddenly stopped working in the middle of a journey to Osogbo from Lagos. When I got to my destination, l took the car to an ac specialist who advised me to go for manual compressor instead of the automatic one since the price of the automatic one is very high in the market, l heeded to his advice since he is a professional on this line. The engine started to overheat after installation when put on the ac for testing for a journey of not up 20 kilometer to the extent of busting my radiator. Each time l put on the ac, the car will be dragging as if l carried five (5) passengers. Could it be because the compressor is manual instead of auto. Please l need your advice.

Sometimes people need to learn the hard way. That's why I don't blame people who are harsh to others.
When you kill that engine of yours and andgh out over 200k total cost in replacing your engine you go wise up.
It's obvious the compressor is not the right one why not remove it. If you can't afford the right replacement of the compressor then kindly wind down your windows and collect fresh air

This is basically why I started this thread so car owners can learn and refrain from patronising quacks.
