Adesuwa (female): Born into Wealth
Osasere : God is the Highest

for boys
Aisosa (for both m/f) means no one is greater than God
Ekpen means lion
Ikponmwonsa (IK for short) means i thank God
Osaevbie means God does not sleep
Eheneden means peace

for girls
Osayuwamen means God has given me this wealth
Omosede (Ede for short) means a child is better/
than the crown (of a king, chief, etc)

They sound Igbo Yes, because you have Igbo in Edo state. When you go to a place like Igbanke in Orhinwonwon LGA, those are the type of names you will come across.

Yes indeed, The Igbanke people can speak and understand union Igbo. But when they speak their local dialect, Even though it is an igboid language, Its sounds really distinct from the igbo language though about 40% of their vocabulary are borrowed words from the igbo language
