Versatella Inovative Concept says it has concluded plans to organise a 10km road race in Jos, the Plateau state capital on May 27, 2017.

The group’s Head of Marketing, Mr. Onuh Adah, said in a statement yesterday that the annual event is designed to help discover hidden talents and give back to society.

Besides that, Adah said the marathon race would boost tourism in Plateau State, just like it is done in other countries where a number of road races serve different purposes.

“The road race has the potential to increase support for the enormous tourism and investment potentials available in Plateau State and also prove that peace has returned to the state.

“There will be training sessions and clinics by instructors and coaches in the build-up to the road race which will be beneficial to young and aspiring athletes in Plateau State and beyond,” Adah added.



He explained that a number of prizes will be given out to different categories of marathoners on the day in male and female.

“The proposed road race shall be a yearly event and shall be known as the Jos Road Race. The road race promises to be very exciting and highly engaging with lots of side attraction, and participation will be opened to all Nigerians for free,” he concluded.
