The 2017 list containing nearly 200 countries – with some sharing position – was released by Henley and Partners, the firm which conducts the annual ranking. Its Chairman, Dr. Christian H. Kälin, says that although the size and make-up of the ‘Top 10’ remains the same as last year, “the changing geopolitical climate could well affect the rankings over the next 12 months”. Germany has been declared as the country with the most powerful passport in the world. Its passport has visa-free access to 176 countries.
