Lagos recruits 5,700 security personnel, deploys 104,554 patrol vehicles, others to tackle insecurity

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Monday launched the State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), with the recruitment of 5,700 personnel, to address the spate of insecurity within the State.

And in order to boost their activities within the state, the government deployed 4,000 bicycles across the 57 Councils, to aid the personnel in combing the streets in Lagos.

The launch came barely five months after Ambode, disclosed that the personnel would be recruited with N25, 000 monthly with other allowances.
