Our attention has been drawn to a statement attributed to the Peoples Democratic Party in which the party alleged that the ruling party is responsible for the unfortunate act of suicides strangely taking place in the country.

While we commiserate with friends and families of the affected persons, we wish to state categorically that neither our party nor President Muhammadu Buhari is responsible for suicidal acts ravaging the country.

Our party came to power with the promises of fighting corruption, ending terrorism and reviving the comatosed economy it inherited from the sacked PDP-government.

In keeping to our promises, the President has perfomed above expectations in comparism to the balkanised Nigeria he inherited from the PDP.

Hence, we were shocked to read the claim by PDP alleging that President Buhari is responsible for suicidal acts taking place in some parts of the country.

Instead of talking to Nigerians in a manner that heals at this sorrowful moment, the clueless and insensitive PDP decided to make political capital out of our national dilemma which the 16 years of economic deprivation, corrupt and strangulative rulership of the party subjected Nigerians to.

The party should have shown remorse for sowing the seed for what is happening in Nigeria today than having the Dutch courage to blame our party for it.

Therefore, for squandering the trillions of Naira that accrued to the country without any tangible thing on ground to justify it while the oil boom lasted, we ask the insensitive and clueless PDP to appologise to Nigerians for successfully destroying Nigeria's economy while it held sway.
