It is sad to have to see my almamater's name dragged through the mud with regards to the Dino Melaye's case.

Earlier today, the ABU VC confirmed that Dino Melaye indeed graduated with a Third Class degree in 2000 despite overwhelming inconsistencies. The 2 biggest inconsistencies are the fact that Dino himself claimed to have served in 1999 while the VC confirmed he graduated 2000. Secondly, Dino's statement of results indicated he graduated with a B.A Geography instead of the usual B.Sc Geography.

A search through the Alumni website did not yield any result for Daniel, Jonah or Melaiye but had one result for Melaye who is not Dino Melaye or the name he used then. The search was positive for famous graduates of the department who graduated far before Dino Melaye. Two of such people are Prof. Jerry Gana and Nenadi Esther Usman who both graduated with a B.Sc unlike Dino Melaye.

It is most disheartening that after all these, the VC claimed he graduated still leaving doubts in the minds of those who seek to know real story. Now it seems the ABU management is trying to cover up every loophole to their story especially as the website has been taken down purportedly to add Dino Melayes name and B.A Geography which were both missing before now. We cross our arms waiting to see what the website will contain after the reconstruction process.
