Why Are Bus Assistant Called Conductors In Nigeria? by DavidDplaymaker(m): 9:00am On Mar 29, 2017
I Have Lived in Lagos all my life, and i have noticed that tout(although some are responsible) are usually called conductors. This prompted me to check my dictonary which I saw only two meaning for the word conductors. (1) A conductor is an objects that allow for free flow of currents. (2) A conductor is a person that cordinates or organizes a set of people to achieve a common goal usually choristers. You might say Nigeria conductors almost fall into the second category but i vehemently disagree with you as Nigeria conductors usually disstabillize, disorganize, scatter, misappropriate and sow discord in a bus. You will see conductors that are not 1 quarter of your age abusing your mother (Oshodi - Sango, Oshodi - Mushin, this set of conductors are the worst). So i am asking again why are bus assistant usually called CONDUCTORS?
