Have u seen the American - Nigerian coproduction "Phat Girlz" (2006)? What do you think of it? Cheap comedy or seen it 3 times and loved it to death? I enjoyed it, had some good laughs, but especially liked the definition :

It's only lack of information! It doesn not apply to whites only!! One black guy here, from the forum, approached me in Russian, which is a big mistake here! I mean, Romania has nothing to do with Russia!! But it's natural not to know things that u don't come in contact with, but at least ask, don't assume. So, don't blame them for asking, be patient and explain! Nobody was born with knowledge.

I didn't like it at all, I thought it was cheap comedy.

I felt they could have done a lot more about researching Nigeria, all the attempts at speaking Nigerian languages(specifically Yoruba) were a poor attempt. I just cringed anytime they spoke, if you were supposed to be visiting Nigerian doctors who were in the US for a medical conference then your pronunciation should be perfect. Foreign productions do a lot better in making the audience believe its real

secondly why was his name Tunde Jonathan , that's an unusual name for a Yoruba man why not a fullfledged yoruba name like Akindele or Olaniran as a surname

thirdly why did they attend a ITSEKIRI and URHOBO association meeting and yet the only Nigerian language spoken there was Yoruba? Haba!!

The only kudos I had for the film was that it was unashamed to talk about Nigeria
