Thank God for the Senate of the federal republic, Buhari would have had no other visible opposition. Let us join hands to thank our senate for being the last barrier to dictatorship.

We are not going back to Buhari's 1983 and 1984 where his hand picked supreme military council sanctioned everything from murdering Bath Owoh and Owolabi for questionable drug offences, to jailing innocent political opponents, and for the impunity that was the 53 unchecked bags at the air port at the same time Buhari was was jailing and killing people, his friends and associates were bringing bagagges through the airport unchecked.

Thank God for the senate, Buhari's supreme military council will never approve a culture of impunity by the arrogant class of cronies like Hameed Ali who wants to be paid as the customs controller, but is too cool to dress as one!

Thank God for the senate for stopping monsters like Magu who is currently the prosecutor, judge, and jury, and executioner of all political enemies accused of corruption.

Thank God for all those senators from the east, west, and north who are fighting to preserve our nascent democracy, and protect it from Buhari's military dictatorship.

Please join me and say "Thank you senate".

Another thread, paid for and supported by BMC staff.
The similarities are clear: all political enemies of Buhari get attacked, probed, falsely jailed, and thousands of jobless youth paid to saturate the social medial to make it look the people are confused. We are not.

I truly applaud the Senate. Otherwise the executive would have been one deadly albatross that would still not admit to talk-less of fulfill any of its harebrained electoral promises! Some people were claiming there was too much impunity before, now they see impunity spiced up with nepotism and crass ignorance!

There is no worse impunity than Hameed Ali insisting that he is better than custom officers who wear the uniform. What a proud, arrogant, and barely educated man holding our country to ransom.

Oh, let's not forget Magu! He has no need for the law courts anymore, because he basically investigates, arrests, prosecutes, tries, judges, sentences, and even executes all 'corruption' cases. Challenge him, then he will go dig up something about you quick! That's impunity and corruption to the highest level.
