Look at the way Chinese firms are infiltrating every country and recording progressive growth everyday. Before you know it they will make an offer that Tesla can't refuse and Tesla will sell or become minor shareholders.
Chinese government have a way of throwing their heavy weight behind Chinese corporations to make viable acquisitions and mergers.
Look at what they did to General Motors, Ford, Volvo etc.
