Kemi Olunloyo as we all know wrote a piece about the general overseer of Salvation Ministries .

She was arrested and taken to Portharcourt prison for defamation of Character. Earlier today she was remanded in prison after being granted bail.

Now, the trending topic is why should a man of God chose to punish someone who offended him. Why not forgive as Jesus taught us.

The life of Jesus is an exemplary life that many Christians look up to.

Am going to point out some verses in the Bible that shows that actions must be taken against those who try to destroy us.

1 Samuel 2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

Psalms 63:9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

Psalms 18:40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.

2 Kings 2:23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

2:24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

John 2:15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;

Mark 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Acts 13:11(start from vs 6 for proper understanding) And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Now, I can go on and on. The problem with Christians is that we lack rhema of the written word. Vengeance is of the Lord we know, but deciding what God will do belong to us (Mat 18v18) .

Enough of this baby Christians who allow themselves to be taken for granted. David Ibiyeomie has laboured to build a ministry that is growing fast, and one devil incarnate is about to destroy it and you expect him to keep quiet.
Forgive those who offend you. But smiling and praying for someone who is out to kill and destroy you is stupidity of the highest order.

You can chose to keep praying and forgiving an unrepentant person while he is bent on destroying you, but as for me, HE THAT DIGGETH A PIT SHALL FALL IN IT

This is impunity of the highest order.
1) Defamation is and remains a civil case.. civil cases don't warrant detentions. The remedy for civil cases are damages but in this scenario we see incarceration.

2) I'm not so well grounded in the study of the bible but I remember we are asked to forgive someone 77x7 times or so. Can you assure me Kemi has been forgiven 77x7 times??

3) the detention of a suspect for 13 days is impunity.

4) she was made to appear before the court in loin made for convicted criminals even when a competent court has not declared her to be so.

5) The accused who is a "man of God" should serve as an example. He preaches forgiveness and sorts but the same cannot be said about his actions.

Tell your pastor to practice what he preaches.

Read the post again and the take note ofbtye scriptures then remove 2 and 5

She was arrested for defamation and David Ibiyeomie is not the law. She is facing the law which will serve as a deterrent to others.

Have you forgotten, some time ago they try to implement a bill that will see anyone who write unfounded news online arrested.

I think they should revisit that bill
