The election of Principal officers of National Assembly by the APC led government has a lot of lessons.

At the lower house, it was a party decision to have Gbajabiamila as the speaker but the likes of Yakubu Dogara, Jubril Mumini, Lasun Yusuf and their supporters had different agenda.

When it was election proper, Jubril Mumini from Kano state, with smiles in his face nominated Yakubu Dogara. At the end, Yakubu Dogara emerged winner in a house controlled by APC majority. Jubril Mumini was very happy that day, jubilating with Dogara while his APC loyal members were seen dejected. Jubril was compensated with appropriation chairman committee. A big river to swim.
He never knew that it was same river that would consume him.

Where is Jubril Mumini today?

Dogara and his cabals had sacrificed him.

Prior to lower Assembly election, the president had called the senators of APC to a meeting which many members attended in waiting.

To the surprise of Mr. President and APC loyal senators, Saraki, Alli Ndume and few APC senators connived with PDP to elect their own officers. Many APC senators never had the opportunity to determine their own leaders.

Saraki became Senate President, Alli Ndume lost to Ekweremadu as deputy Senate President but was later compensated with majority leader.

Then, between Saraki and Ndume the going was good.

Where is Ndume today?

Removed as majority leader and later suspended for 6months by his yesterday's friends.

Remember there is tomorrow for everything in life. For those that suspended Jubril and Ndume, there is tomorrow.

However, whether it is politicking or scheming, do good always so that tomorrow will be good for you.
