“‎Voldemort himself created his worst enemy, just as tyrants everywhere do! Have you any idea how much tyrants fear the people they oppress? All of them realize that, one day, amongst their many victims, there is sure to be one who rises against them and strikes back!” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6)‎

By definition, the 'ideal' academic environment may be defined as one that best prepares students for their future professional life and contributes towards their personal development, psychosomatic and social well-being. A number of diverse factors significantly influence the way students perceive and experience their education, while a restricted military area or military out-of-bounds area is an area under military jurisdiction where special security measures are used to prevent unauthorized entry, thus, civilians are shut out.

The academic environment is known to be a four - corner wall of knowledge, providing solutions to problems, proffering preventive measures to foreseen issues and correcting the abnormal.
Outside Africa, Academic staffs and students appears like colleagues in the business, knowing that no one is an island, but reverse is the case in Nigeria, academic staffs want to be viewed as messiah especially in an academic staff - student relationship.

When reviewing the rate at which students are victimized in various institutions, nothing comes to mind than the acclaimed Field Marshal Idi Amin of Uganda. Amin became known as the “Butcher of Uganda” for his brutality, it is believed that some 300,000 people were killed during his presidency.

For better knowledge on who Idi Amin was, I would run through little of his biography.
Idi Amin was a Ugandan president born circa 1925 in Kokobo, West Nile Province, Uganda. He rose within the military from the 1940s through 1970. Amin overthrew the current leader in 1971 and declared himself president, and he remained in power from 1971-1979. During his tenure, he lived a lavish lifestyle while contributing to the collapse of Uganda’s economy. He sought to stay in power at all costs, resulting in extensive human rights violations via mass killings. Overthrown in 1979, he fled first to Libya and then to Saudi Arabia, where he died on August 16, 2003.

In this modern world, it's not until you kill someone physically before you are addressed as a killer, killing also involve the psychological and the image damage you have caused to rising young people, whose future aspirations may be haunted by the powers that went against them while in school.

University of Lagos (UNILAG), a renown institution and first choice of many students' has became an area surrounded by controversies of arresting students, detaining them and charging them before court on various allegations. UNILAG just like University of Ibadan (UI), reinstated the Students' Union in the school, while UI has reportedly manage the students and their activism, UNILAG has recorded many crises ranging from peaceful protest to arrests by Nigeria Police Force, infact, one can't imagine police operations in the school which may be caused by failure to apply  Alternative Dispute Resolution. One can only imagine if such as been done the the academic staff, it will definately lead to shutting down of academic activities and other varsities also joining them in solidarity.

Knowing the influence of academic staffs to dispute resolution, there will surely be arising questions such as, why are the staffs silent over re-occurence in police intervention in issues that can be solved by them? Or is it that the affected students are enemies to all staff? If that be the case, there is a suspected foul play or romance on the side of the management and various staff union.
