Man Utd and Chelsea are also tipped, by the Sunday Mirror, to battle for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer. Although the
Neymar has decided he wants to become Europe’s highest paid footballer – having targeted a salary of £21.2m that would exceed Ronaldo’s remuneration at Real Madrid – and the only place he’s likely to find a club that will pay him that is England.

Manchester City are also said to be interested in the £50m-rated Italian teenager, and they will be battling to sign him whatever happens because they don’t currently have any goalkeepers good enough to attract Real Madrid.

Pep Guardiola has also “joined the race” for Michael Keane, reports the Sun on Sunday. Although at this point, there aren’t many clubs who aren’t in the race to sign the Burnley defender.

Arsene Wenger plans to “beef up” his midfield with the signing of Everton Idrissa Gueye, says the Sunday Mirror. West Ham may do the Gunners a favour by offering them £30m for out-of-sorts midfielder Jack Wilshere, says the Sun on Sunday. In fact, the Hammers don’t seem bothered about current form at all, because the same paper says they are also interested in Stoke’s on-loan Man City striker Wilfried Bony.

Elsewhere, Chelsea are considering a £15m-swoop for 20-year-old Toulouse centre-back Issa Diop (Mirror), Tottenham are interested in Besiktas’ ex-Arsenal midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup (Daily Star Sunday) and Man Utd want to sign Monaco full-backs Djirbil Sidibe and Benjamin Mendy (Sun). There does seem to be a genuine danger that Monaco might not actually have any players next season.
