Spanish radio station Cadena COPE revealed a surprising story on air on Tuesday night reverting back to last summer, and how Man United beat Real Madrid to the signature of Paul Pogba.

It's well known that Pogba's agent is Mino Raiola. Raiola also manages the career of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

According to Cadena COPE, Pogba went to a meeting over the summer with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane, and the French international made sure not to bring Raiola with him.

In the meeting, Real offered Pogba a salary of €6m-a-season. In the end Pogba is earning double that amount at Old Trafford.
