price has been paid but no rice was shared abi? The ceremony is irrelevant.

Bride price is the most important part of a wedding ceremony ,after paying her bride price, she is automatically ur wife....some people even get preggy before payment of bride price,although it's wrong.

Why not ask your in-laws, this is purely family affairs. Nairaland can't help.

It depends on what u and ur wife had already agreed with ur families. If u still need to wed her now, some churches will deny u that except u opt for a marriage blessing latter. What is worth doing is worth doing well. So from the religous angle, some churches wont welcome that until after wedding.
