Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday advocated a spiritual approach to the anti-corruption crusade in Nigeria, calling on the church to wield its influence against the menace. Obasanjo made the call in Abeokuta at the 2017 Convention Lecture of the Victory Life Bible Church International. He spoke on the theme: “The Role of the Church in the Fight Against Corruption in Nigeria.” The former president described the church as an important and influential institution with a pivotal role in curbing and eradicating corruption in Nigeria. Spiritual approach didn't work in Europe, it didn't stop terrorism in the Middle East, it isn't working in Africa despite how many churches are scattered all over West Africa especially Nigeria so what is Obasanjo talking about? |

Keneking:l disagree, Nigeria should adopt the method of China & North Korea , anyone found to have grossly enriched himself/ herself with government money should be tied to the stake and executed, before they are executed, they should be paraded naked at the National Stadium Abuja, flogged with chilly & acid laden whip before facing the bullet, kid gloves or prayers will not kill corruption, God has given us enough brains to think on how to move the nation forward and the same Obasanjo should explain how he got billions to build his university, Nigeria can pray from now till the end of the world and if we keep doing the same thing, same way and expect a different result, we are lying as a nation, useless request from an ex President who was also a thief, criminal, looter and vampire , where is my cane to start the flogging session
