Apostle is rank 1. can do the work of an evangelist and a prophet. A pastor(a priest in ot)and sherperd keeps the flock and finds pasture for growth and security from wolves. these are location bound.cos they must be watching "over the flock". the repercussions for failure is graver than any other calling(based on emphasis seen in scriptures). A prophet bares God's mind, no plus or minus. he says things from God's pov, not minding whose ox is gored. his messages stirs up anger, stiffnecks. the messages are however a mixture of judgement and mercy. he is most loved when he prophesies glad tidings, people mosttimes forgeting he is just a medium, thus their high mortality rate in biblical times. A bishop(or an elder) can deputize a pastor. but requirements for his post is lined towards discipline. corruption from orthodox circles have made this post bigger than a pastor or an apostle, which is totally wrong. we are just vessels in the creator's view. while we can respect men of God, it doesnt need a title 1 Like |
