Malaga Vs Barcelona

Barcelona lost their fourth league game of the season away to Malaga at the La Roselada a tough ground in which both Barcelona and Real Madrid always find it tough to crack the home side.

The first leg at the Camp Nou ended in a stalemate with Malaga down to 9men.

The team was far from their best as they squandered chances and had Kameni to contend with in goal. The best chance of the game went to Suarez and Andre Gomes who fluffed their lines. Neymar was shown a yellow card for purposefully blocking the Malaga team from taking their free-kick with tying his boot lace. It became sour when ref Gil Manzano showed him a second yellow for his challenge on a Malaga player in the 70th minute.

Barca could prove nothing as they found it difficult to break the well positioned resilient Malaga side who were fighting to pull off the relegation zone.
However, Barcelona could kiss the league title goodbye after loosing 2-0 thanks to goals from ex-Barca player Sandro Ramirez and another from Jony in the 90th minute.

This loss will see Barca remain 3points adrift of fierce rivals Real Madrid who have a game in hand.

That is not the main talking point as Barcelona have had a worse record against Malaga this season. This and many more:

- Barcelona have failed to score in two league games this season, both against Malaga.
-Carlos Kameni, has kept six clean sheet against Barcelona more than against any other team.
- Barcelona have lost more games 14 out of the 15 with Andre Gomes as starter.
- Suarez have not scored against Malaga since he joined Barcelona from Liverpool.
- Neymar have received two red cards in La Liga since he joined Barcelona, both coming against Malaga.
