Contains big Season 4 spoilers of Attack on Titan
So avoid if you haven't watched...


But I think this is still the core message or AOT...the futility of war and cycle of war in humans...
Just as was said in the series...
Even if you wipe down humans to last 2, they'll still keep fighting...
History is bound to get repeated

Aside this, I'd say Freedom, Racism, power, indoctrination, etc are some of the other core themes

It's just depressing on another level
