Pure rubbish.. If Nigeria is second, where will AI place lran ,lraq ,Saudi arabia and even state of Texas in US? State of Texas in US even has execution schedule or time table and you can Google it by typing Texas execution schedule.. Yet they place Nigeria second when even the convicts on death row know they will never be executed and. death penalty is just to scare the convict.... l am not against Amnesty international but in this instance they are wrong 1 Like |

Recently, I argued on same topic. I am all for the DP, but not for Nigeria to have it as our justice system is not fair, accountable or impartial. However, for extreme cases (an example is the recent Jumia killings), then we can execute the perpetrators when strong evidence is presented. If you cannot do the time, do not do the crime. |

Death by stoning has actually never been carried out in Nigeria so I wonder why it was included in this write-up...as regards the death penalty, I do not think Nigeria should practice this considering the way investigations are carried out especially the methodology involved in obtaining statements from suspects...#my2cents |

Why won't there be so much death sentence in Nigeria? The evil that our youths are committing this days are very very alarming. Imagine the case of the Jumia delivery man? Or the the case of the uber driver that was killed in Lagos because of a Kia car? Devil is really dragging people's soul with them, and guys are not careful in selling it out to them. |
