- Family: Ericaceae
- Genus: Vaccinium
- Sub genus: Oxycoccos
- Scientific name: Vaccinium macrocarpon
- Description: The fruit is small, round and red in colour. Each berry has four centrally situated tiny seed enclosed inside the capsules.

- Vitamins: Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Lutein, Zea-xanthin, folate.
- Minerals: Calcium, Manganese, Copper, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Iron, Selenium, Zinc.

Calcium: It is an essential mineral for healthy bones, gums and teeth.
