Say what you know, I know elections anywhere in the world is 100% free and fair. But the 1993 elections in Nigeria is the best I can think can of. Two Muslim candidates one from the South one from the north. Abiola had a landslide Victory. Moreover option A4 was used. The voters vere counted on the queue as per head count. No Wayo
The so-called option A4 was easy to rig and it was rigged fantastically. Trust a typical naija man - when counting those on the queue instead of 1,2,3,4...... , the counting was 1,2, 39, 49, 60...!!! This was the election they're saying was most free and fair. It wasn't.

Senator Shehu Sani is a fine gentleman and has ordinary Nigerians at heart and always empathise with the masses. I was opportune to sit down with him and my director sometimes last year i must confess that he is the finest and most intelligent politician we have around right now in the mix of charlattans we call senators.

The great politician that was fully accepted by all tribes in Nigeria. after our colonial era nationalists Abiola was the next to them as that election was the most free and fair ever seen in Federating States of Nigeria history.

But the military government of IBB denied the wishes of Nigerians in June 12th of 1993.. may God continue to reward those that fought for actualization of the mandate and those that turned hope '93 to misery for the presidential candidate of SDP and the populace.

It would have been better if FG can give him befitting honour by immortalizing MKO.. is our man o. (Because he's sacrificial lamb for Nigeria democracy)

Abiola caused Awolowo's losing the presidency in 1979 elections so Awo placed a curse on Abiola that he will get there too but he wont sit on that throne.

June 12 1993 was the day we lost our democrazy, no thanks to IBB. He is the reason why politician kill and maim their opponent till date.

Awo never did that ,rather he was happy when MKO attended his 70th birthday after he had left NPN and politics in early 80s. Awo was so elated about Mko's exit from NPN that he described it as a movement from darkness to light.

I have heared this IBB sponsored story to justify the annulment of June 12 so many times.
