Today I will be talking about Lurong Living Essentials which is a dietary supplement from Lurong Living. You can read about it or buy it through an online order from LurongLiving.com, however the website those a really poor job of giving you more information or clinical trials if not for the product then for the ingredient, it offers nothing really in terms of information. All that you will find on the website is that the product is based on the Lu Rong Velvet Deer Extract which is a powdered extract taken from the antlers of male deer but apparently also from elk antlers. So, what is this deer antler extract for, really? Well, it has multiple believed uses, believed but not scientifically or clinically proven, which is the biggest concern that I have with this supplement, the biggest problem. It has very little and inconsistent evidence for its claims. It was used in ancient traditional Chinese medicine, maybe that is why it's popular, people seem to like these herbal supplements and many believe them to help but science disagrees.

So, one of the claims of the product is that it will enhance your muscle strength, the website claims this but can it deliver? Well, you may find people that will tell you it can, it's up to you if you decide to believe them or not.
Science, on the other hand, has failed to prove it. In a clinical trial done in September 2003 with two groups of men, one group which used the deer antler extract and the other a placebo and both groups were also following a 10-week strength program/training or workout, showed no increase in muscle strength despite taking deer antler extract. The deer antler velvet extract did not promote anaerobic ergogenic effect at all. I am a person that trusts science more than claims without proof so what this tells me is that this extract doesn't work, its claim of boosting muscle strength is fake.
It also claims that it can help with your joint or cartilage problems but again, science fails to prove this so more than likely it doesn't work, at least not as it is claimed to. There was no significant influence of this extract on joint pain and cartilage damage or symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.

The product costs about $35 so it's more or less affordable for most people.
