Ayiri, Ossai clash over Gov Okowa job creation, by-election

Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa Aide Mr Ossai Ovie Success, yesterday lambasted a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Ayiri Emami, for bemoaning his wealth and job creation agenda while campaigning for his party for the Warri South Constituency 1 by-election, coming up tomorrow The governor categorically said Emami lacks requisite knowledge about his job creation schemes, which he claimed more than 17,173 persons had benefited from.

Emami, the chief promoter of the APC candidate for the constituency seat, had berated Okowa for failing to create employment opportunities since he assumed office, but had sacked those already on the payroll of the state.

But the governor’s aide on Special Duties (Media), Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, who wondered whether the APC chieftain had been in the state since May 29, 2015, said Emami’s outburst that his boss had no plan for Delta youths, was ‘deformed.’

Ossai said Emami was either being economical with the truth or lacks adequate information on the achievements of the Okowa administration, stating that despite the recession in the country, the governor had created more jobs for thousands of youths through prudent management of the state’s resources.

He said: “Chief Emami needs to be enlightened, because if you are not informed, you will be deformed, All he said goes to show that he lacks proper information regarding the achievements of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. Nigeria as a nation has been under recession, this has hindered a lot of possibilities, but the story has been different in Delta State.”
