The news currently making the rounds online is the marriage crisis Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe is facing. Well, trust us bloggers to milk the gist dry. This time around, wotzup.ng will be milking from a different angle with a bit of religious quotation.

Mathew 26:33

Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.”

I’m sure you read the above bible verse. That was Peter telling Jesus that he will never leave him even in the toughest times. Jesus replied and told Peter that he will betray him 3 times before the cock crows. Peter must have been enveloped by his zeal and love for Jesus that he thought he could face anything for him. Many of us have this same mindset. I can’t count the amount of comments I’ve read on social media from guys who boast that they can never beat their wife. Sometimes I wonder whether they drop those comments to get Likes from ladies or they are simply myopic. Majority of guys that beat their wife must have at some point kicked vehemently against domestic violence. But today, they are involved in it.

The essence of writing this is to let you know that the moment you make a boast is the moment Satan starts working towards how you will fail. Peter boasted that he will never deny nor leave Jesus Christ even in the hardest times. But when he came across a mob that would have carried out jungle justice on him, he denied Jesus 3 times to save his life. Satan starts working against you from the moment you utter that boastful statement. Below is an excerpt from an interview involving Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Lanre Gentry.

Is it true you always embarrass her in public?

Lanre: How can I embarrass my wife in public? I never do that because I respect her as a person, wife and mother. A short time ago, a blogger reported that I beat my wife. I was very angry because I could not understand why I would want to condescend that low. I don’t beat my wife and I have never beaten a woman. I don’t even know how to argue with people. Source:

Did you read the above answer he gave to the question? Would you have believed that the same man will be the one to leave his wife looking awful in the below picture?

Some guys have even evolved from boasting that they can never beat their wife to bragging about how they will deal with any man that tries to beat their sister whom he married. I just laugh when I read such comments. Instead of you to caution your sister on how she’s going about behaving like a Slay Queen, you are here boasting. Don’t you know that the path of Slay Queen she’s toeing is the path that leads to domestic violence? Or aren’t all the Slay Queens getting beaten up or dumped these days e.g Mercy Aigbe, Tonto Dike, Toyin Aimakhu, Toke Makinwa, plus the ones afraid to come to public about it? You probably think you can fight or rich enough to bribe policemen to lock your sister’s husband up. Pray your sister doesn’t get married to a rich and corrupt Nigerian politician who can afford to lock your entire family up. You wont know when you will become politically correct.

Domestic violence is bad and Should not be condoned. But never say never. Just place your future marriage in God’s hands and beg him to control it for you.

so funny @slay queens.

I also often hear ladies say that the day their husband beats them is the day he will die. With such statement, what these untrained girls don't know is that they are already inviting the Spirit of domestic violence into their life. You are yet to know who you will marry, but you are already putting up defences and threatening fire and brimstone. The bad part is that it's such girls that turn their husband into beast. They fortunately marry a gentle guy who can't hurt a fly, but due to that fowl mindset of theirs, they challenge him at any small instance. Well, the best part is that such girls always never allow outsiders to know when they suffer domestic violence. They just remain in the house and it's mostly because they realised that they instigated it with their razor sharp tongue and mannerless attitude.

I'll advice every girl to drop girlish ways the moment they are about graduating from higher institution, cos that's when they cross over into womanhood. Failure to do that is why most of them go into marriage with the girlish mentality that a man must accept whatever nonsense they throw around. They don't know that it is only boys that accepts such, and the person they are dealing with has crossed over from boyhood to manhood.

Naija girls, pls stop following these celebs on social media- they will ruin your life. Their constant divorce and fake show of how they moved on will really make you think it will be okay to move on if you divorce your husband. They are gradually programming you for destruction. How do I know this?

What was your perception of nose rings and anklets before now? I bet you saw it as immoral and only for prostitutes. But today, many of you are piercing your nose and lips, and it's all because you saw celebrities looking cool o. instagram with those immoral fashion. That started storing in your subconscious mind as a latest Fashion and something cool to try out. The same way they successfully got you into piercing your nose is the same way they are making you thing marriage is something you can just walk out of even fit no reason.

Guess what? They will never tell you about what they face after divorce. They will keep deceiving you with filtered Instagram pictures.
