Hurrah! One of the world's largest church, Living Faith Church, a.k.a Winners Chapel, will be marking its 36th year anniversary come May 2nd, 2017. Events have been lined up the leadership of the Church, headed by God's servant, the Visioner and General Overseerb, Bishop David Oyedepo, to mark 36 years of undiluted love and glory of God upon His children.

Precisely, on the 2nd of May, 1981, God delivered a mandate to David Oyedepo, saying:
"Now the hour has come to liberate the world from all oppresions of the devil, through the preaching of the word of Faith. And i am sending you to undertake this task".

On the 11th day of December, 1983, the first under the Commission was planted and since then, the Ministry has turned out to be the fastest growing Church in the World with presence in all the nations of the earth. It has not only grown spiritually, but in other aspects of man's life.

The church, aside several primary and secondary institutions, has two Universities, Landmark University and Covenant University, arguably the best private University in Africa.

Jesus never celebrated any anniversary in His three and half years ministry, He was busy connecting people to Eternal Life.

The Apostles never celebrated anniversaries, they were busy giving Christ to the people.

Denominations of today have turned anniversaries to another money making avenue, by directly or indirectly imposing special contributions and levies on the gullible members, with the lion share going to the 'Gods of Men'.

By now, all this aging denominational leaders should be telling us more about where they are going.
