Most women do not feel complete without having a womb.

Removing a woman's uterus...can leave said woman feeling ...somehow.Even if it was done to save her life..

While I understand this sentiment, why couldn't she just take part of the money she wasted on this charlatan, and fly abroad to consult medical specialists in America or Europe? Just because one doctor says X doesn't prevent one from getting a second opinion elsewhere.

The bottom line is, taking medical problems to "prophets", priests, alfas, imams, babalawos and other such people is just plain stupidity.

The other specialists might say the same thing...remove the womb. Especially since the woman is over 40 years old.(In the case of fibroid, the basic treatment for women over the age of 40 is removal of the womb).And even in the USA (Hysterectomies are the no 1 reason for treating fibroids).

Alternatively...they might recommend uterine artery embolization...described below

The above also has some suggestions fro drug treatment there too...which might help.

But I suspect that because of the woman's age...and possibly because there were multiple fibrods (I am shooting in the dark here, as I do not know Mama's medical history)...a hysterectomy was ideal in her case.
