- Why will a rational, informed Nigerian try to minimise this important issue?

I believe the 45% tax only applies to millionaires and billionaires, so he will still be fine with £8-9 million.

I agree that the rich in Nigeria should pay their fair share of taxes in order for the government to raise adequate revenue to be used for maintaining infrastructure and creating a social safety net.

As for enforcement of tax laws, I commend the LASG for its efforts in that regard. I never knew that a state govt in Nigeria could raise hundreds of billions of Naira in taxes. Just wish the FG could follow the state's example.
