The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria has announced plans to host the first edition of the ‘Study in Holland Fair’ on the 10th of June 2017 in Lagos at the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island.

The fair is designed for Nigerians seeking international undergraduate, postgraduate and/or professional education in the Netherlands. It provides a platform for them to meet one on one with representatives of over several top higher educational institutions from the Netherlands and get direct advice on the opportunities available to them for study in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Speaking on the upcoming exhibition, Mr John Groffen, the Ambassador at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria said“The fair offers Nigerians who desire to study in the Netherlands the chance to get first-hand information about the various study options available at several higher education institutions and find a programme of study that suits their specific preferences.”

On the benefits of studying in the Netherlands, Temitayo Akinbiyi, Fellowship Officer/Consular Affairs, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria stated that “The Netherlands is a recognised knowledge centre with rich study traditions and well known higher education institutions offering more than 2,100 programmes taught in English.Education in the Netherlands meets all international standards with thousands of its alumni doing great work in Nigeria. Some of them have become entrepreneurs and are employing people. Others work in the corporate sector at the highest levels and are doing fantastic things. No doubt, studying in the Netherlands gives the needed boost to individuals who wish to take their careers to the next level.”

Each year, students from Nigeria study in the Netherlands, joining close to 90,000 international students from Germany, China, Belgium, Italy and Spain, and other international students from over 190 countries.

Alumni Urge Nigerians To Study In Holland

The study in Holland Fair will be a platform for intending students to meet one-on -one with the representatives of institutions of their choices.

Segun Olukoya, the coordinator of The Netherlands Alumni Association of Nigeria (NAAN) has urged Nigerians to attend the Study in Holland Fair scheduled to hold at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos on Saturday, 10th June 2017 from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Commenting on the education fair, Olukoya said the study in Holland Fair is a great platform for intending international education seekers to meet one-on -one with the representatives of institutions of their choices.

“The education fair is designed to ensure that Nigerians seeking international undergraduate, postgraduate and/or professional education courses in Holland get direct advice on the opportunities available to them for study in Europe’s foremost knowledge centre.”
