HAH:Lolz I agree with your theory, partially though. The political clomate in kano and jigawa are intertwined, howbeit very distinct Kano politics depends alot on affiliation, achievement and relevance after stepping aside from power. Kwankwaso is rapidly losing grip due to his successors ambition and plots. His senatorial hold keeps his relevance slightly alive but his deference from the central govt will ultimately seal his fate. If the mood of the state favors his choice, lucky him. If not, tor. Jigawa on the other hand, political prowess depends alot on the motions of the central govt and kano. Most of the bigwigs are based in and from kano. And the people would rather support the central govt than choose legacy. Sule Lamido plays his cards like a pro. He is a very respected voice in kano and his voice over jigawa is pretty resounding. The only issue is jigawa will not vote him if he defers even slightly from the central govt. His legacy simply means nothing to them. His option now is to pray PMB doesnt consider re-election or endorse a particular candidate. Cos them jigawa folks are just up for APC die. I used to be a strong beleiver in Sule Lamido. But I changed my mind whrn I settled down to look closer. So, if I had to choose between Lamido and Kwankwaso, I ll choose Kwankwaso 1 Like |

ITbomb: Yeah, ur right Sule played the ultimate black jack card. His arrest has put him back into national limelight. I remeber he used to walk the streets of dutse, stroll into sites that werent even state govt owned. This endeared him to the people. Badaru was ill adviced. Ignoring him woild have done a lesser damage. Too bad. 3 Likes |

slawomir: ...and d 'southerners' are so patriotic to the nation, thereby hating their own, abi? (Ibori & Nnamdi etc). Truth is, what both North and South share is their hopeless support for corrupt & irresponsible "leaders"! Criminals are unfortunately celebrated in this country. |

I said it sometimes back that,it a muses me when people say buhari's popularity in the north is unmatched or can't be matched, but what I know for sure is,take away the media propaganda n wash up,allow a level ground n true freedom of expression n see how buhari will easily be revealed in his true colours n reduced to the insignificant, time shall tell. |
