Nigeria international, John Okoye says he was excited to have set a new-goal record Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus league after helping Yenicami Ağdelen Kulubu to a 6-3 win over Baf Ülkü Yurdu on Saturday.

The prolific goal poacher scored four out of six goals for his side on the last match of the season to increase his tally to 41 goals to set the new enviable record, and he said the feat was an amazing achievement for his career in his first year at the club, adding that it will challenge him to do more in the coming seasons.

Okoye’s superb scoring ability (41 goals) has helped his club emerge champions of the K-PET League for the 2016/17 season.
