POSITION: RADIO PRESENTER

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• Must possess excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
• B.Sc. in Mass Communication would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a top –notch radio/television station.
• Must have the capacity to work to a rigid schedule and manage their time effectively.
• Must be articulate and have the ability to create dynamic and original shows consistently with a sense of humour which appeals to the masses
• Must be conversant with NBC rules and regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Research features that will come up during the radio show
• Plan the general direction of the show. This may include writing and scripting in preparation and rehearsing
• Meet guests for the radio programme beforehand and discuss the outline of interviews
• Introduce music, guests and other features throughout the show
• Conduct interviews with guests in person (either live or recorded beforehand) or on the telephone.
• Select a playlist suitable for the audience and time of the day
POSITION: NEWS EDITORS
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
• Must have HND/B.Sc. in Mass Communication or any other art subjects from a reputable tertiary institution.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in a top-notch radio/television station.
• Must be able to exercise sound editorial judgment
• Must have excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor and adapt content for different audiences
• Must be able to maintain objectivity in order to be fair and balanced in the treatment of stories.
• Must have at least 10 years of cognate experience preferably in a radio/television.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Monitor news-gathering operations to ensure utilization of all news sources such as press releases, telephone contacts and other reporters.
• Control the news output, identifying stories and selecting and commissioning material for bulletins
• Set and drive the news agenda in line with the approach and style of the station
• To generate original ideas and approaches to the way stories are covered.

POSITION: HEAD OF MARKETING

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• A first degree in Marketing, Applied /Social Sciences or related discipline from a reputable Institution.
• Minimum of 10years post-graduation experience, of which must be in a media industry preferably a radio or television station.
• Must be a registered member of APCON and NIM
• MBA would be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Must have a hands-on experience in event management.
• Must not be less than 38 years old.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, advertising agencies.
• Manage customer relationships.
• Source advertising opportunities and secure sponsorship.
• Manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers etc.
• Maintain and update customer databases.
• Evaluate marketing campaigns.

POSITION: HEAD, ACCOUNTS & FINANCE

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• Accounting degree or equivalent. Membership of relevant professional bodies such as ICAN, ACCA is compulsory.
• Must possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
• Minimum of 15 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting and financial data analysis.
• Must be 40 years old and above.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Prepare financial management reports.
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
• Monitor and support taxation requirements.
• Evaluate and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data

POSITION: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVES

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of financial reporting
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
• Technical accounting skills
• 5years previous experience of general accounting
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare journal entries
• Complete general ledger operations
• Handle monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Draw up monthly financial reports
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• And assist with yearend closings
• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Prepare tax computations and returns
• Assist with payroll administration


POSITION: TRANSMITTER ENGINEERS

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• A first degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a reputable institution
• Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience in a radio or television broadcasting station.
• Must have handled or worked on transmitter for a minimum of 5years preferably in a radio broadcasting station

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Direct as well as coordinate operation plus maintenance activities of radio broadcasting transmitter in accordance with rules and regulation of NBC
• Establish procedures plus standards for operation maintenance of transmitter equipment.
• Establish procedures for testing of transmitter equipment and performance of preventive maintenance activities.

POSITION: TRAFFIC OFFICER

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• A first degree or HND in any social sciences from a reputable institution
• Good knowledge of advert scheduling in a radio or television station.
• Must possess excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Must possess a high level of IT skills – particularly good word–processing and data handling skills
JOB DESCRIPTION
• To accurately schedule commercial airtime and promotions.
• Work closely with colleagues in marketing, sponsorship, promotions, events, publicity and programming.
• Ensure that all commercial activity is delivered to the satisfaction of clients and agencies.
